committed to curiosity

In every space, there is a fusion of fact and feeling, it’s my role to document both.

Following the threads of structure, materiality, light, shadow, form, texture, colour, is an integration of facts. Pulling on these details, an outline emerges, a sense of being, feeling, comprehending.

Curiousity is critical, in contemporary spaces where life is yet to unfold.

Searching for the suggestions of humanity, the scope for a particular way of life that informed decisions at conception. Decisions fleshed out by the client, architect, interior designer, defining ‘how life will be lived there.’

Examination of the tension existing between what is and what might be.

To artfully explore this connection with a camera is to view the core of the space, refined or unrefined, fresh or fatigued (& some heritage buildings are justifiably fatigued.)

Buildings are a pivotal part of our lives, i feel privileged to capture them.

A favourite quote to mull over by Winston Churchill,

‘We shape our buildings, thereafter they shape us. ‘

got a project in mind?

My work includes architectural photography, imagery for supporting industries, object documentation & commercial imagery for business.

I enjoy capturing completed projects & also those in process, the stages and evolution of work and creation is fascinating to point a camera at.

From project documentation to web updates, the need for quality imagery in business is wide and varied, feel free to get in touch to discuss your photography project.
