REFLECTIONS WEEK

We have just completed a feature week based on reflections incorporating a mixture of landscape images taken on very still (& frosty) winter mornings by the sea as well as some crisp urban pics of Dunedin architecture reflected in water onto the street. We like to call that playing in puddles and todays post includes last weeks images that were shared plus a few extras.

"Whether you are Minor White or Robert Frank,  almost every photograph starts with an act of pure description - a window.  But every now and then you catch a glimpse of the photographer's reflection.  The mirror is just another function of the window."

 - Alec Soth (Photographer)

"The creative act lasts but a brief moment,  a lightning instant of give and take,  just long enough for you to level the camera and to trap the fleeting prey in your little box."

- Henri Cartier-Bresson (Photographer)

Signing off with some words to live by from American photographer Jason Eskenazi:

"If you have something to say with a camera then show it,  otherwise it's better to bake a cake."
